Marie E. Valdez

ALAMOSA — It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved sister and dearest friend, Marie E. Valdez.

Marie was welcomed into the world on June 28, 1950 in Alamosa, Colo. and went to her eternal rest on Sept. 27, 2019. Marie was the daughter of Viola Gasca Valdez. Marie was such a kind and loving person to everyone she met. Anyone who was in her presence knows of her soft gentle voice and giving spirit. She was always thinking of others.

Marie was a devoted and loving sister who enjoyed caring for her brother and spending time with her family, friends and dogs. Her dogs were very spoiled and extremely loved, to Marie they were like her children. Her loving memory will live on through the spe

cial memories shared by so many.

She is survived by her dear brothers, Edward Valdez of Alamosa and Chris (Carrie) Valdez of Arvada, Colo.; as well as her niece, Cassandra Valdez of Longmont, Colo. and nephew, Austin Valdez of Golden, Colo.; and one aunt, Mary Loomis of Santé Fe, N.M.; cousins; and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Gasca Valdez; aunts, Susan Allen and Theresa Allen; and uncles, Rocky Gasca, Lou Gasca, Joe Gasca and Carmel Gasca.

Marie will also be remembered fondly by her friends and family at Wall, Smith, Bateman Inc.

She was a wonderful colleague to so many of us and provided dedicated service of nearly 40 years. Her loyalty and high degree of professionalis

m made her a valuable part of the firm.

Over the years, she had worked a multitude of positions in a variety of settings in order to “Take care of us.”

Marie will be greatly missed, and her legacy of service will go on for many years.
