MONTE VISTA — Longtime Monte Vista resident Mary Josephine Padilla, 90, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 20, 2019.
Mary was born on July 11, 1928 in Dixon, N.M. to Antonio and Benedisa Lovato.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Dave) Padilla of Colorado Springs, Fran (Tom) Herrera of Monte Vista, Gilbert (Elva) Padilla of Delta, Colo., Yvonne (Manuel) Martinez of Monte Vista and Joe (Randi) Martinez of Monte Vista; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
