Michael (Mickey) (Mick) Francis Murray, 71

MADISON, Wisc.— Michael (Mickey) (Mick) Francis Murray passed away quietly, on Jan. 10, 2019, in Madison, Wisc. of complications from COPD.

Mickey was born on Feb. 5, 1957; he grew up in Del Norte, Colo. and graduated from high school there in 1965.

Soon after high school, Mickey joined the US Navy, during his Military service to our country; Mickey had the pleasure of getting stationed in Panama, as well as Hawaii. Returning to the valley Mickey worked in construction, with his brother and two of his nephews for many years, before eventually going into business for himself some years after marrying.

In 1987 Mickey met his soon to be wife Pat Chamberlain, and they were married in 1988. Mickey and Pat settled in the Valley where they lived happily for many years before relocating to Pat’s home state of Wisconsin, in 2016.

Mickey loved to fish, hunt, play horseshoes, cook, eat and care for their many animals. In his younger days, he may have hunted an arrowhead or two.

Mickey was preceded in death by his wife Pat, his father Francis Murray, mother Evah (Murray) Wellman and his sister Gwen Voris.

Mickey is survived by his brother Wally Murray, sister Kaye Splitter, brother Dale Murray, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews all of whom loved him very much.

Mickey’s smile, his wit, his love and laughter will all be sorely missed.

Mickey has been cremated and will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Pat. Together for all eternity.
