Orlando “Weasel” Teddy Medina

ALAMOSA — Orlando Teddy “Weasel” Medina, 49,  went to his eternal rest Aug. 19, 2019. Orlando was welcomed into the world on July 28, 1970 in La Jara, the beloved son of Benito and Belen Medina.

Orlando was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a handworker and he had an open-door policy to anyone in need, he was a friend to all! Orlando enjoyed being outdoors, collecting brass, making people smile and laugh and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite saying was “You have choices in life.”

His memory will live on through his parents Benito and Belen Medina of Alamosa; daughters Shantel (Neev) Sandoval of Alamosa; Denea Medina of Alamosa; son Orlando Dre Medina of Alamosa; sisters Bernice Arvizo of Alamosa; Amalia (Lupe) Garcia of Denver; Lori (Merced) Flores, Josephine (Everardo) Espinoza both of Alamosa; Amada (Jason) Martinez of Denver; brothers Benito (Ashley) Medina of Alamosa; Joseph Medina of Oklahoma; Albert Romero of Alamosa; partner Sherrie of Alamosa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Orlando was preceded in death by Lawrence Gomez, maternal grandparents Jose and Amalia Romero, paternal grandfather Romolo Medina and nephew Abel Trae Salazar.

A viewing and visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. at the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Alamosa.  Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
