ALAMOSA — Peter Daniel Vigil passed away peacefully in his home, in Denver, on Sept. 26, 2019.

He was born to Pedro and Viola Vigil on Aug. 2,1959, in Sterling, Colo.  

He is survived by his mother, Viola Vigil; brothers, Michael and Larry Vigil; his children, Garrett Vigil and Leacia Martinez (Jerome); and his grandchildren Sophia, Ashton and Keyton; and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Pete loved cars and was fortunate to be an amazing mechanic. He also loved outdoors and was very spontaneous. He mostly loved going to church and spending time with his cousin, Christina, who was like a sister to him. Pete had an amazing heart and would do anything he could to put a smile on your face.  

Services will held in Alamosa at The Door Church of Jesus off of Highway 285 and 12th Street on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. A reception will follow.
