ALAMOSA — Alamosa resident Richard Romero, 43, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Parkview Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Richard was welcomed into the world on Oct. 5, 1975 in La Jara, Colo., the son of Ernest Romero and Peggy Lou Gallegos Romero.
Richard worked for many years for the mushroom farm. Richard was a compassionate and loving father, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, who enjoyed spending time with his children, doing yard work, going camping, watching boxing and barbequing.
Survivors include his daughters, Netanya Romero of Alamosa, Colo.; sons, Daniel Romero of Alamosa, Colo. and Jordi Romero of Blanca, Colo.; mother of his children, Amanda Garcia of Blanca, Colo. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Romero; sister, Melissa Madril; and grandmother, Daisy Gallegos.
