Samuel “Chris” Medina, 73, of Commerce City, Colorado went home to be with our Lord on August 10, 2018.  He was the son of the late Amarante Medina and Senaida Martinez Medina of Del Norte, Colorado.  Chris was the 5th out of 8 children. As true to the family name he was a hard worker, and retired from the Denver Feed.  Upon retiring Chris moved back to the San Luis Valley where he settled in Del Norte, Colorado for a period of time.  Chris loved the outdoors, but epically loved fishing and camping.  He later moved to Monte Vista Estates where he passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Chris is survived by; son Glen Medina of Saguache, Colorado; grandson Richard Medina; granddaughters Danae and Danielle; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Frances (Vicente) Pacheco of Del Norte, Colorado, Theresa Ruiz of Grand Junction, Colorado, Mela Rivera Tucumcari, New Mexico,  Dora Leveck, Denver; brother Ben Medina of Monte Vista, Colorado.  Also survived by his caring nephew, nieces and numerous extended family.

Preceded in death by his; parents Amarante Medina and Senaida Martinez Medina; sons Frank and Richard Medina; infant daughter Christina Medina; sister Mary Jane Robles; brothers Alfred, Amarante, Jr. and Louis Medina.
