CENTER — Sharon Renee Duran, 60, went to her eternal rest Aug. 5, 2019. Sharon was welcomed into the world on June 30, 1959 in Monte Vista, the beloved daughter of Toby Duran and Louise Trujillo Duran.

Sharon devoted her life to caring for her family. She was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed going fishing, playing softball, going camping, building things and doing crafts. Sharon’s greatest joy in life was when she spent time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family.

Survivors include her mother Louise Duran of Center; daughters Tommie (Rick) Dunworth of Pueblo; Tashli Duran of Pueblo; grandchildren Jessica  Brown, Tayah Hunter both of Pueblo; sisters Debbie Duran of Vail; Peggy Duran of Center; Brenda Torres of Houston, Texas; Nancy Duran of Center; Janice (Glenn) Valdez of Ogden, Utah; Monica Garcia of Yakima, Wash.; brothers Gary (Vivian) Duran of Sanger, Calif.; David (Judy) Arellano of Pueblo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Toby Duran, son Tobias Duran and one brother Buddy Duran.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Valley Church of the Nazarene located at 228 Madison, Monte Vista. Interment will follow at the San Luis Valley Cemetery.
