Steve ‘Archie’ Archuleta

Posted

Our beloved Steve “Archie” Archuleta, 56, was called home on Dec. 15, 2022, who was surrounded by his loving family who never left his side. Steve came into the world on July 20, 1966, the son of Meliton Archuleta and Genevieve Salazar Archuleta.

Steve was united in marriage to the love of his life Brenis Trujillo on April 11, 1986. They shared a long and loving union. Archie was very well known and loved by all who met and knew him. He was a people person and ornery and loving as they come. He was always the one who would give the shirt off his back and would help anyone in need.

You could always depend on Archie to be a good listener if you needed someone to talk to. He was the best at giving his opinion and advise and made sure to give it to you straight, as raw as that may have been. He was honest, had a contagious laugh as well as his personality is what drew people to him.

He owned and operated Kitchen Works, which was home of everyone's favorite the "Mel Burger." When he did have free time, he loved going for rides on his Harley, being outdoors hunting and fishing. His family was his life, he loved spending every minute he could with his children and grandchildren. Archie will be missed dearly.
He will live on through his loving wife Brenis Archuleta of Pueblo, Colo.; daughter Zantia (Felix) Abeyta of Kansas, sons Jason (Paloma) Mestas of Alamosa, Colo.; Jeremiah Archuleta (Janet Alexander), Jacob Archuleta both of Pueblo, Colo.; Issac Tolbert, grandchildren Dylan Abeyta, Rohni Mestas, Tillman Abeyta, Charlotte Abeyta, Liam Archuleta, Cruz Mestas, Benjamin Archuleta, Ember Archuleta, Kaitlyn and Priscilla Tenoreo, sister Renee (Brian) Kahler, nephews Brian Kahler Jr., and Jeremy Kahler. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Meliton "Mel" Archuleta, sister Debra Archuleta, grandparents Albert and Frances Salazar and Meliton and Mary Archuleta Sr.
