Alamosa resident Teresa Caraveo Jaramillo, passed away peacefully March 25, 2019 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Teresa was welcomed into the world on November 5, 1937 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Maria Caraveo and Elisa Villalva Caraveo. Teresa was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed spending time with her children and family, cooking meals for them, doing crafts, quilting, embroidering, crocheting and making clothes. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughters Maribel (Alex) Lopez of Gillette, WY; Leticia (Sam) Hernandez of Alamosa, CO; Aide (Joaquin) Saenz of Monte Vista, CO; Azeneth (Dave) Heredia of Alamosa, CO; sons Francisco Jaramillo of Juarez, MX; Ambrocio Jaramillo of Black Foot, ID; Teodoro (Maria) Jaramillo of Alamosa, CO; 39 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister Herlinda Anchondo of El Paso, TX; brothers Alvino Caraveo of Roswell, NM; Raquel Caraveo of Mexico. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Teodoro Jaramillo, three sons Salvador, Ernesto and Pedrito Jaramillo, three grandchildren Elisa, Jose and Nick Jaramillo.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Alamosa. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 1:00 PMalso at the River of Life Church. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
