Tiffanie Trent McAllister, 45

Tiffanie Ann Trent McAllister died in her home in Carmen, Idaho, on September 5, 2018, from Creutzfeldt Jakob’s Disease, surrounded by people she loved.  She is survived by her husband Ryan McAllister, son Dalton Ky Mortensen, step children Mason McAllister, Cade McAllister and Sophie McAllister.  She is also survived by her parents Sheryl and Jerry Anderson and 10 siblings. 

She was born in La Jara, Colorado, on June 22, 1973, to Thomas Patrick Trent and Sheryl Gay Sellers Trent, grew up in Manassa, Colorado, and graduated  Centauri High School in 1991.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adams State College and her Master of Arts Degree in Humanities from California State University.

Tiffanie lived life with vibrant enthusiasm.  She enjoyed outdoor activities like mountain biking, trail running and rivers.  She was a gifted musician and loved to sit around campfires and play music and sing.

She was passionate about education and enjoyed people of all ages.  She donated her time and talents freely and was committed to making our community a better place.  She was loving, caring, and compassionate.  She will be greatly missed by those of us lucky enough to have had our lives enriched by knowing her.

Her siblings who survive her are her sisters Stephanie (Ed) Mondragon of Taylorsville, Utah; Melanie (James) Sowards of Manassa, CO; and Cynthia (Jeramy) McDaniel of Manassa, CO; a sister-in-law Beth Trent of Gilcrest, CO; and by her brothers Gregg (Elisha) Anderson of Alamosa, CO; and Derek (Cami) Anderson of Chubbuck, Idaho.  Her step-sisters are Sabrina (Mike) Husmann of Alamosa, CO; Penny (Chris) Dennis of Littleton, CO; Christy Anderson of Alamosa, CO; and sister-in-law Stacey Anderson of Littleton, CO; and her step-brothers are Jared (Christine) Anderson, and Hoyt (Dyan) Anderson, both of Alamosa, CO.

In addition, she has many nieces and nephews who love “Aunt Tiff”, along with extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Patrick Trent, her brother Ryan Wayne Trent, and her step-brother Brock Alden Anderson, and by all of her grandparents:  Everette “Buster” and Le Ora Trent, Don and Elsie Sellers, and Dr. Sidney and Mayonne Anderson.

There will be an open-house Celebration of Life on September 29, 2018, starting at 6:00 p.m., in the recreation hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Manassa, Colorado.  We will be sharing pictures, memories, songs, laughter, and tears as we remember Tiffanie.  Please feel encouraged to share your remembrances of her.
