CENTER — Ubaldo Montelongo Najera, 32, passed away August 22, 2020, at the UNC Central Medical Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ubaldo was born on May 15, 1988, in Peñon Blanco Durango, Mexico, the son of Rogelio Montelongo Ramirez and Maria Mayela Najera. Working construction most of his life, Ubaldo had a talent for building things of all assortments. A loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend he enjoyed fishing, hunting, doing mechanic work, riding horsed and spending time with his children.
He will live on through his parents Rogelio Montelongo Ramirez and Maria Mayela Najera of Durango, Mexico; wife Eva E. Cano of Center, CO; daughter Leylany Montelongo of Center, CO; son Zayhir Montelongo of Center, CO; in-laws Luis and Juanita Cano of Center, CO; sisters Celia Vanessa Montelongo, Luz Yadria Montelongo both of Durango, MX; brothers Victor Montelongo of Durango, Mexico; sisters-in-law Erica Cano, Miriam Cano and brother-in-law Luis Cano. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ubaldo was preceded in death by his grandparents and one uncle.
A Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2020, from 1-5 PM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM also at St. Frances Jerome Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
