Vidal Garcia

Posted

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear father, brother, son, uncle, and friend, Vidal Garcia. We were deeply saddened to learn of his sudden departure on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, in Alamosa, Colo. He was only 39 years old.

Vidal was born on Dec. 14, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Delia and Tomas Garcia. Despite facing challenges in life, he always cherished the moments spent with his family during holidays and celebrations. His laughter was the most genuine kind that filled the room with joy, and his infectious spirit brought happiness to his family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, playing cards, and challenging his siblings to games of Jeopardy.

Vidal was known for his kind heart and willingness to help those in need. He was a great dad who loved nothing more than carrying his sons on his back and was known for participating in water balloon fights with his nieces and nephews to the point of falling down laughing! He may no longer be with us, but his memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Vidal is survived by his sons, Isaiah and Damion Garcia, his mother Delia (Ismael) Rios, his siblings Belen (David) Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Thomas (Jessica) Garcia, Joel (Nina) Garcia, Roman Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tomas Garcia.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Vidal's loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing that Vidal will always be remembered as a caring and loving soul who touched the lives of many. “Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.  Amen. May almighty God bless us with His peace and strength. The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

A Wake will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, from 5-9 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Rosary will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., with Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery.
