ALAMOSA — Wima Marie Etter, 97 was taken home to be with her savior on June 16, 2019.  She was born to John and Jennie Tolsma on Sept. 4, 1921 in Waverly.  She married Alvin Etter on July 6, 1963.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Andrew Tolsma, Bud Tolsma, Jan Winchester and Martha Vrieling.

Wilma was a lifelong member of the Alamosa Christian Reformed Church in Waverly.  Wilma worked many years at Montgomery Wards as an accountant.  She enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful afghans and doilies.  She loved fishing, picnics and traveling.

As the longest resident at The Bridge, since she moved in when they opened in 2007, she loved playing bingo and looked forward to the Thursday afternoon van rides which were always a highlight.

A memorial service is scheduled at The Bridge at Alamosa on Tuesday, June 25, at 2 p.m.
