Effective Oct. 1, Allen Theatres officially took over the operation of the beloved local theatre, bringing over a century of experience in cinema entertainment to the Alamosa community.
Founded in 1912 by Frank Allen with the opening of the Allen Opera House, Allen Theatres has a rich and storied history of delivering exceptional movie-going experiences across New Mexico and surrounding states. From showing its first motion picture in 1912 for just 10 cents to pioneering innovations like drive-ins and luxury seating, Allen Theatres has been at the forefront of creating memorable entertainment for over four generations.
