ALAMOSA — Recently, members of the GFWC Woman’s Citizenship Club accepted a $1,000 donation from the staff of First Southwest Bank of Alamosa for the Jocelyn Russell “Into Thin Air” sandhill crane monument.
The monument is well on its way to becoming a reality thanks to generous donations like this one.
Originally, installation of the sculpture was scheduled for Fall of 2024, plans now are to install the monument at the Colorado Welcome Center in Alamosa sometime in the Spring of 2025.
The Woman’s Citizenship Club is a non-profit organization, and a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs dedicated to supporting and enhancing communities through volunteer service.
