Pueblo resident and former La Jara resident Stephen "Stevie" Perea, 55, was called home to be reunited with his mother and the Lord on Aug.16, 2024. Stevie was welcomed into the world by his loving parents Steve D. Perea and Angelica Maria (Naranjo) Perea on Oct. 24, 1968.
Stevie will be remembered for his infectious laugh as well as his kind and loving nature. He was a friend to all and was always the first to help anyone in need.
Stevie loved horses, baseball and all sports in general. In his free time, he loved going fishing and camping. Stevie's greatest joy in life came from the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.
Stevie was preceded in death by his loving mother Angelica Maria Perea.
He will continue to live on through his father Steve D. Perea, sister Angela (Ernie) Garcia and his brother Joseph (Carol) Naranjo. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Cremation was chosen and a Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. Inurnment will follow at the Los Cerritos Cemetery.
