Alamosa resident Destiny Dolores Martinez, 21, gained her angel wings on August 10, 2021. She was welcomed into the world on June 11, 2000, in Alamosa, Colorado, the daughter of George Martinez and Adrianne Martinez. Destiny was one of a kind, she loved doing crafts; drawing, photography and basically, anything that she could do to express herself artistically.
Destiny enjoyed listening to music as well. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her pride and joys her sons , family and friends. She truly lived up to her name, she was not here with us for as long as we all would have liked her to be, she was destined for something greater in her afterlife and she will be dearly missed.
She will live on through her parents George Martinez and Adrianne Martinez both of Alamosa, CO; sons Savion Holland-Martinez, Azuh Holland-Martinez both of Alamosa, CO; sister Savannah Silvas of Alamosa, CO; brother River Padilla of Alamosa, CO; maternal grandparents Kathleen Melgares, Shirley Melgares both of Alamosa, CO. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Destiny was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents George and Elizabeth Martinez, maternal grandfather Joe Arthur Martinez, great-grandfather Max Melgares and one cousin Sabrina Martinez.
Cremation was chosen and a Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa.
