Felix Trujillo, a man of great honor and respect, left this world on Feb. 14, 2024, at the age of 84. Felix was born in San Miguel, N.M., and eventually settled down as an Alamosa resident after embracing a 21-year career of military service in the United States Air Force as a Jet Engine Technician, including two Vietnam tours and other oversea deployments. He ranked as a TSGT. He married Frieda Trujillo on June 13, 1966. They had one son Eli and one daughter Jocelyn.

After retirement, he enjoyed a quiet and peaceful life raising cattle and wrenching on his farm machinery on his ranch. He enjoyed fly fishing, doing crosswords, cryptogram, and sudoku puzzles. This was his favorite leisure time.

His pride and joy are his two Grandkids Taj Phillips and Daniel Trujillo. He enjoyed watching his grandson Taj play basketball from age 4 and now playing for the University of Puget Sound and enjoyed watching his grandson Daniel compete in taekwondo and also enjoyed his performances such as plays, dance, and high school marching band. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus where he enjoyed time with friends.

Felix is survived by his loving wife Frieda Trujillo of Alamosa, children Jocelyn Trujillo Phillips (Usani Phillips) of Pleasanton, Calif., and Eli Trujillo (Jolene Angel Trujillo) of Golden, Colo., sister’s Rosalia Garcia (Eduardo), Elosia Garcia (Filemon), and Corelia Trujillo all of Antonito, Colo., and brother Andres Trujillo (Paula) of Questa, N.M.

Felix’s passing was preceded by his brother Benicio Trujillo (Elsie) and parents Rosabina and Jubencio Trujillo.

Rosary will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Funeral Mass held on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa, Colo. Felix will be laid to rest in the Alamosa Cemetery, followed by a Meal Gathering at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
