Our Beloved Rose Segura was called home to be with the Lord and her sons on Sept. 21, 2024. Rose was born on Dec. 26, 1950, the daughter of Joe F. Barela and Erlinda (Gonzales) Barela.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life Juan Segura on March 1, 1971. They shared a happy and loving union for 54 years. In her free time, Rose enjoyed reading, going for bike rides, cooking delicious meals for her family and watching her favorite T.V. shows. Her greatest joy in life was getting to spend time with her family and friends.
Rose is survived by her loving husband Juan Segura of Garcia, Colo.; daughter Teresa (Jesse) Maestas of Alamosa, Colo.; son Joshua (Sarah) Segura of Alamosa, Colo.; eight grandchildren Celina, Maria, Moises, Nathan Jr., Shania, Jesse Jr., Isabella, Jenna, four great-grandchildren, four sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Erlinda Barela, sons Nathan and Jeffrey Segura and three brothers.
Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date.
